An Organisation DSC is issued to an authorised person and shows the name of the organisation they sign for: a company, LLP, partnership firm, trust, society or government department.
When you need it
- Tenders submitted in an organisation's name, where the tender asks for an organisation certificate
- Signing documents on behalf of the organisation
Company directors usually sign MCA forms with their individual DSC. Check what the portal or form requires before choosing.
Documents
Expect organisation proof, an authorisation letter or board resolution in the CA's format, and the signatory's own identity documents. See the checklist.
Common reasons for delay
- Authorisation letter not in the CA's format or not signed by the right person
- Organisation name spelled differently across documents
- Organisation email or signatory mobile not reachable during verification
